Visions of Thanksgiving

Was running to the vacuum store yesterday afternoon because the belt broke on the vacuum cleaner (something always breaks right before the holidays) and heard the strangest sound. When I looked up in the sky, this is what I saw.........
A blimp! It used to be called the Goodyear blimp but now it's the DIRECTV blimp.......on it's way to Dallas Stadium for the Thanksgiving Cowboy football game. It was the strangest sound and so weird to see in our skies!
So, I've been trying to get ahead for the Thanksgiving celebration at our house this year. The table has been set since Tuesday night. I lit the candles last night and took some pictures. Nothing fancy, but wanted to have a nice place for the six of us to eat before we settle in for some football watching and napping.Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family, friends, love, and joy.

There we go, no more Goodyear blimp, who would have expected an occurrance like that? Not me.

Your table setting looks fabulous!
We are going to have our feast on Saturday, and I have already spent half a day in the kitchen, doing the prep work. This will be the year without pecan pie, none of these precious nuts to be found, at any price (well, haven't checked at the pharmacy yet *g*).

Enjoy your feast,
Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Your table setting is elegant and warm...and I'm sure it was divine when you sat to eat before watching the football and having those well earned naps!!

I haven't seen a blimp for a while...almost like having a float from the Macy's Day parade right in your backyard Allie!!

Hope you had a marvellous Thanksgiving.

Everything looked beautiful. Noticed you little turkey place cards. CUTE! As for your comment on my blog about a swap... I am not sure of my level either. I just thought what the heck! Try It! We will see. Some of the things I bought & embellished, other stuff I wanted to create myself. I had FUN & I think that was the idea. Anxious to see how it turns out. I'll keep you posted (literaly of course ha ha).

Oh My Goodness! This happens to me all the time... usually just like you before a major event. I hope all went well.
