Any man can be a father.........

But it takes someone special to be a Dad!

Happy Father's Day to my wonderful husband. While raising a daughter is a completely new and foreign experience for him, he is a wonderful father to our daughter. Armed with a sense of humor and a desire to always have fun, he has survived the terrible two's and the terrible teen's. His relationship with our daughter is a wonderful thing to see.

And my Dad, well......words can't describe the love I have for him. The opening sentence to this post suits our relationship to a "T". I was adopted when I was just 6 days old. Watching home movies last weekend, I realized how special mom and dad thought I was. And today, I know they feel the same way. I love my father as the stars - he's a bright shining example and a happy twinkling in my heart.

Happy Father's Day to my husband and my dad. I love you both so much.

Allie, enjoy them while you have them. While I still have my wonderful husband and father to our two children, I lost my Dad 3 years ago at the ripe old age of 89. I miss him everyday and even more on Father's Day.

Have fun,
Lynn

Allison, if you think of it, tell your Mom and Dad "Hello" for me. I still remember with great pleasure the tour he gave Crystal and me almost exactly 20 years ago at West Point. The Father's Day comments you made about your husband and Dad are really nice.

What are you going to do about your job next year? Stay in admin., or go back to the classroom? Whichever you've decided, I sure do hope it works out -- esp.. since you still have quite awhile before you can start thinking about retirement, unless your benefits are very different from Sis's.

All's well here --
