Images of Christmas Past.......

It's just two weeks until Christmas and everything is still in my garage. No tree is up, no Santas from around the world are on the fireplace mantel, and no reindeer ears have been put on the dog!
I've just been trying to learn to live with my new job and without my Cupcake Princess. Maybe next weekend, when school is out and the Cupcake comes home from college, we'll FINALLY decorate for Christmas.

In the meantime, I'll enjoy decorated trees in lovely shops. I took these photos last winter in some cute shops in Salado, Texas.......a lovely artist town in central Texas. Hoping that you are further ahead than me this holiday season..........
Warm hugs,
~Allie

Hey Allie - I'm waiting for my own Princess to come home tomorrow and she'll be here for 2 1/2 weeks.

Good morning, Allie!
No tree yet here. I don't even know if the sweet farmer who sold trees last year around the corner will return (they have started selling trees only this weekend here in V.!). He was kind enough to carry the tree (8 ft) home with me and put it in the stand. Otherwise I have to wait for my husband to return next week! That would be a bit stressful, I like to take three evenings to decorate the tree.
Oh well, this morning I am taking a day off and venture south a little, countryside. It's cold, yesterday it even snowed, big fluffy snowflakes dancing from the sky. Wonderful. I spent several hours walking in the city.
Have a good week, Allie,
and I hope you can return here soon!
Hugs,
Merisi

Hi Allie,
Yes to waiting for the Princess to decorate! It will be much more fun that way. Also, at this time of year it's important to do Christmas your own way. What ever it takes, not become stressed is the way to go during the holidays!
Thinking of you and soon you will hopefully have some time off!!!
Hugs from Jefferson.
What a day huh?

Allie, Long time no see! Hope life is treating you well. So... Cupcake comes home soon. I know you will be sooooooooo glad to see her. You will have fun decorating the tree together. You can tell her you waited for her & she will that that's true. I have those cupcake ornaments you showed. And the cute garland that went with them. But, I didn't put that tree out this year. Kinda did a little different theme. I'll check back to see what you did do for decor. Have a great week. Hugs! Charlene
