This past week, I've been working with my new principal and Instructional Leadership Team. We've been feverishly working on getting plans together for when all of the teachers return in the next two weeks and then for Howdy Night. Being new to this building, being new to the position of Assistant Principal, and knowing no one until two weeks ago, I was a little anxious but we finished out the week at South Fork and had a great day. This photo was taken by one of the tac houses behind the big, white house at South Fork. (We never saw J.R. Ewing though!)
So now I have WAY too many chores to attend to this weekend. However, I'll keep dreaming of earlier days this summer spent looking at the lake and eating ice cream treats that my dad made for us. Opa LOVES himself some ice cream!!
I was thinking of you, and not only because of sweltering heat!
"Dallas" and South Fork remind me of a flight from Switzerland to Rome: When the gentleman sitting next to me realized that the one sitting before him was from the USA, he leaned forward and asked, "Who shot JR?" - he had apparently moved from the States the year of that cliffhanger and had to finally find out, after all those years!
Hi Allie, You are on a new path, a new beginning. Somehow I feel you will fit in great with all of the lovely staff! It has been an inspiration to watch you walk upon your journey! Enjoy this new adventure on Monday! xox Constance
Glad you stopped by. My name is Allison, but I'm called Allie by my husband and close friends. This is my blog where I share my little corner of the world with you. I'm proud to be a native of the great state of Texas and hope you'll enjoy your visit here and maybe share a smile or a giggle with me.
